Middlesbrough run to continue at Burnley

There are only three games in the Football League on Tuesday evening, one in each division, but there's plenty of stake in each one, with Burnley battling to keep their play-off bid alive in the Championship and four clubs fighting for survival lower down the pyramid. Here's what we're backing...

Burnley v Middlesbrough
The Clarets stopped the six-match rot that had threatened to completely derail their play-off push with an impressive win over Swansea on Saturday and with five points separating them from sixth, they have to make the most of this game in hand. Middlesbrough are in magnificent form though, unbeaten in seven and having only lost twice on their travels since Christmas, so look to lay the hosts at [2.04]. Over 2.5 goals is also a fairly appetising prospect at [1.93].

Tranmere v Notts County
Martin Allen did a magnificent job turning around a morale-stricken dressing room at Barnet but performing the same trick twice in one season is in danger of proving beyond him after he opened his tenure as Notts County boss with two defeats. They have lost nine in a row to enter serious relegation trouble. Tranmere are one of the sides to have passed them on the way and have to be fancied at [2.26] to pull nine points clear of the drop zone.

Bradford v Burton
It's been an absolute disaster of a season for one-time League Two title favourites Bradford and even a change of manager hasn't helped. A fifth pointless outing in six here would leave them in danger of going down, yet thankfully for the Bantams, Burton are awful away, winning just twice all campaign and losing four on the spin. Paul Peschisolido's team haven't been beaten on the road by a bottom-six rival though so back the draw at [3.6].
