There are huge games on the horizon across the continent as Roma welcome the team that pipped them to the league and cup last season, Inter Milan, in Serie A and Barcelona face a tough away test in La Liga. We look at the best bets in both leagues, as well as in France, Germany and Holland...

The Serie A strike was thankfully called off, leaving us with plenty to look forward to this weekend. Top billing goes to the meeting of last season's top two, winless Roma and unbeaten Inter Milan, with the visitors [2.22] favourites. Our fancy is the draw at [3.45] though. AC Milan and Genoa meet on Saturday chasing their first victories since the opening day, with the Rossoneri available at [1.68].

Table-topping Real Madrid will be confident of defeating Levante at [1.28] despite their hosts' midweek win and impressive travellers Sevilla are a tempting [2.2] to outclass Hercules.

The monster Bundesliga clash between Bayern Munich and leaders Mainz sadly isn't being televised but the grudge match between Werder Bremen and Hamburg is. Both flopped in midweek and our money is on the draw at [3.6]. FC Twente versus Ajax is the big one in the Eredivisie and though the visitors have won four on the spin, we're backing the resilient home side to triumph at [2.9]. In France, Lyon are a [1.78] lay at home to Ligue 1 pacesetters St-Etienne.
