Inter Milan no bankers in must-win match

There are six Serie A fixtures for Betfair customers to choose between on Betfair Live Video this evening: AC Milan v Palermo, Brescia v Juventus, Cagliari v Napoli, Cesena v Lazio, Lecce v Inter Milan and Roma v Fiorentina.

The matches at the San Siro and Stadio Olimpico are arguably the biggest in terms of grandeur, but the most intriguing of the lot takes place at the Stadio Via del Mare, because if Inter fail to take three points off promoted Lecce, it could be the beginning of the end for Rafael Benitez.

The Nerazzurri escaped relatively unpunished after scraping a barely deserved point at home to newcomers Brescia on Saturday, because Lazio lost the Derby della Capitale to Roma, however if they fail to win tonight and lose the Milan derby at the weekend, they could be eight points adrift.

Lecce have taken ten points from their four home games back in the top-flight and, given that Inter's only victory in four came courtesy of an Eduardo goalkeeping error in Genoa and their injury crisis is still rather severe, the option to lay the champions and [2.62] title favourites appeals at [1.83].

Leaders Lazio were outplayed by rivals Roma on Sunday and it will be interesting to see how they respond to such a setback. The fixture list has been kind, handing them a trip to Cesena, whose one point from the last 21 available came at home to fellow strugglers Parma. The table-toppers should deliver at [2.24]; if they don't, a speedy decent down the table is likely.

Second-placed AC Milan aren't certain to capitalise on any slip against Palermo, who did the double over them last season. Outspoken Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini has got the mind games going by claiming "Milan are just too strong" and we think he'll be proved right at [1.57].

The example of Juventus, who lost twice to Palermo last term then were beaten again by them in Turin in September shows that it will be no stroll though. The Old Lady are a tempting [2.04] to win away at Brescia, the team fast developing a reputation as the unluckiest in Serie A.

Elsewhere, we expect Fiorentina coach Sinisa Mihajlovic's return to former club Roma to end as badly as his Lazio and Sampdoria reunions, so back Claudio Ranieri's rejuvenated side at [1.88], while in-form Napoli are good enough to do what few manage and be triumphant travellers to Cagliari at [3.15].
