Kaka's father fuels talk of AC Milan return

As far as Tuesdays go, AC Milan supporters can't have enjoyed many quite as much as they must be enjoying this one.

The Rossoneri have established a five-point lead at the top of Serie A following their 3-0 romp past title rivals Napoli and though neighbours Inter Milan are threatening a late challenge, all signs are pointing to Massimiliano Allegri ending the club's seven-year scudetto drought at odds of [1.54].

The good news doesn't stop there though because the Italian press are reporting that former AC Milan hero Kaka could return in the summer as his second season with Real Madrid is proving to be similarly disappointing to the first.

Kaka's father Bosco Leite was at the San Siro last night to witness Napoli fail to rise to the occasion and eventually fall to second-half goals from Zlatan Ibrahimovic, substitute Kevin-Prince Boateng and Alexandre Pato and refused to dismiss the possibility of his one-time Ballon d'Or-winning son returning.

He said: "You'll have to ask Adriano Galliani (if he could come back). We'll see what happens."

The Brazilian attacking midfielder spent six years in Milan in which he was victorious in both Serie A and the Champions League before leaving for what was briefly a world record fee of around £56 million to join Real Madrid in 2009.

His move to the Bernabeu hasn't been a great success as he struggled for form in his first campaign and endured a lengthy spell out injured this season. The impressive performances during his absence of the likes of Angel Di Maria and Mesut Ozil have ensured that he is no longer guaranteed a starting spot.
