Rangers will move a step closer to SPL title
There are big matches in Scotland, Italy, France and Spain this evening, all of which are available to Sky Sports subscribers and Betfair customers. Here's why we're backing Rangers but doubting AC Milan...
Rangers v Dundee United (7.45pm, Sky Sports 2)
Dundee United have won at Ibrox once already this season and Celtic fans will desperately be hoping that they repeat the feat in Walter Smith's last home game in charge of the SPL leaders. The Gers have won their three fixtures either side of the Old Firm derby by an aggregate score of 13-0 though so have to be trusted at [1.24]. For bigger odds, look for over 3.5 goals at [2.56].
Palermo v AC Milan (7.45pm, Betfair Live Video & ESPN)
The Rosanero have done the hard work in this Coppa Italia semi-final by drawing 2-2 at the San Siro, even leading that tie, so will be hopeful of finishing the job having beaten AC Milan 1-0 in Sicily in Serie A in March. Their visitors have just been crowned champions but are determined to end the campaign with two trophies. Back Palermo to scupper their plans at [4.3].
St Etienne v Lille (8pm, Betfair Live Video)
A run of three matches without a win in April indicated that Lille were in danger of choking with their first title in 57 years in sight, however two victories later, they have a chance to go seven points clear of holders Marseille. St Etienne are formidable at the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard though, losing their only three times this term, so expect Lille to have to settle for a draw at [3.35].
Real Madrid v Getafe (9pm, Sky Sports Red Button)
Barcelona finish top if Real Madrid fail to triumph, and Jose Mourinho's team are winless in four at the Bernabeu. Neighbours Getafe have it all to play for as they battle relegation but they have lost four away games in a row, so after hitting six in Valencia and Sevilla, this is a big chance for Real to return to form as hosts. They are [4.5] to score five or more.
