West Brom in real danger of relegation
There is no sign of any one team being cut adrift at the bottom of the Premier League, meaning there are some very tempting odds on offer in the Betfair relegation market.
Wigan Athletic are currently favourites for the drop at [1.47] and with their run-in it's easy to see why. Their next three away games are against Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea, while they also have to face Manchester United, Spurs and Everton at the DW Stadium.
They are followed closely by Wolves who are at [1.54]. They lost 1-0 last night against Bolton thanks to an injury-time goal from on-loan Chelsea striker Daniel Sturridge - things are looking increasingly bleak for Mick McCarthy's men.
West Ham have gone out to [2.14] following their emphatic 3-1 win at Blackpool last night. Robbie Keane scored for the Irons on his debut and - following the farcical events around the club at Christmas - they seem to have got themselves back on track.
The side to really pay attention to though is West Brom. The Baggies are currently at [3.3] in the relegation market and that could prove to be an extremely sound bet.
Despite their early season form, Roberto Di Matteo's side have picked up just four points from their last eight games and can consider themselves well and truly in a relegation battle.
With the Baggies' last five home games against Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, Aston Villa and Everton, it looks like they could be heading straight back to the Championship.
