Bet up to £25 risk-free on a Wolves victory
The job that Roy Hodgson has done in his first nine games in charge of West Brom has been stunning and if he caps it off with victory over rivals Wolves in the tenth to nudge them closer to relegation then Baggies supporters will be campaigning for him to retain his LMA manager of the year award!
The omens appear positive for the visitors, as Chelsea are the only club to have toppled them since Roberto Di Matteo's dismissal and Wolves have taken just two points from a possible 15 since Kevin Doyle was injured on international duty, but Hodgson's derby record in England is disappointing.
At Fulham, he lost five of his six collisions with their neighbours Chelsea, whereas the Cottagers had been beaten only once in four meetings with the Blues prior to his arrival, while he was defeated in his sole Merseyside derby at Liverpool and was held at home in his first Black Country showdown.
That indicates that this could prove the perfect opportunity for Wolves to get their survival bid back on track, especially as this is West Brom's first outing since almost certainly ensuring safety, meaning that there is a possibility of their players judging their work for the season as complete.
Wolves have lost just twice at Molineux in 2011 - against Merseyside duo Liverpool and Everton - and have been conquered in only two of their nine home clashes with teams outside the top eight, triumphing on four of those occasions, so [2.26] is a tempting price on them delivering.
