Andy's Saturday tips - Wolves to nick win

I'm in pretty good form at the moment after correctly predicting Manchester United would beat Valencia 1-0 in the Champions League; I also said Chelsea would make light work of Marseille the previous night. This looks like a good set of fixtures in the Premier League at the weekend with Chelsea versus Arsenal obviously the most glamorous match, whilst Manchester United's trip to Sunderland will be a real test for Sir Alex's side, who unexpectedly dropped points at Bolton last time out. Let's hope I can pick a few more winners...

Wigan v Wolves

This season hasn't exactly gone as Wigan would have expected, or at least hoped. A mauling by Blackpool on day one pretty much set the tone for what has been a pretty disappointing start to the campaign, with only that shock win at White Hart Lane providing Wigan's supporters with anything to cheer about.

Worryingly for them, it's not like they've had lots of key players out injured or a bad run of luck in terms of decisions from the referee, they just haven't been playing well enough.

Wolves are hardly a particularly appealing team for the neutral to watch with their brand of organised, no-nonsense football and they're not faring any better than Wigan at the moment in terms of league position, but at least they've showed signs of improvement. They were good last weekend at home to Villa and can count themselves a little unlucky that the man who provided the cross for the winning goal, Stephen Warnock, was still on the pitch in the first place.

They're a side where everyone works hard for each other and have two pretty good strikers trying to turn their hard work into goals. Okay, neither Steven Fletcher nor Kevin Doyle will score you 20 goals a season in this league but they're both capable of holding their own against good defenders and if these two play to their potential, that could be the difference between Wolves and the three teams who go down.

This is a massive match for two relegation-threatened teams and if we do have a winner, that side will have received a huge boost, not just in terms of points, but also confidence. My feeling is it will be Wolves...

Recommended Bets:
Back Wolves to win at [3.45]
Back under 1.5 goals at [3.2]

Andy's predictions for Saturday's 3pm kick-offs...

Birmingham v Everton
Will Everton finally get their season underway with their first win of the campaign? I think they're going to have to wait at least another week...
Recommended Bets: Back the draw at [3.3]; 1-1 at [7.0]

Stoke v Blackburn
We all know that the noise levels at the Britannia are something else and the Stoke fans may have more to cheer about this Saturday.
Recommended Bets: Back Stoke to win at [2.34]; 1-0 at [8.4]

Sunderland v Manchester United
This is a big test for Manchester United against an in-form team who save their best for the big guns, but I think Fergie's boys will just edge it.
Recommended Bets: Back Manchester United to win at [1.83]; 1-2 at [10.0]

Tottenham v Aston Villa
Expect a point apiece as Spurs feel the strain of constant midweek football and Villa continue to improve.
Recommended Bets: Back the draw at [3.6]; 2-2 at [16.0]

West Brom v Bolton
It'll be back down to earth for Roberto Di Matteo's troops after that outstanding win at the Emirates.
Recommended Bets: Back the draw at [3.45]; 1-1 at [7.4]

West Ham v Fulham
The Hammers are improving every week and can get the better of injury-ravaged Fulham.
Recommended Bets: Back West Ham to win at [2.34]; 2-0 at [13.0]
