Wigan at risk of another Carling Cup upset
There were plenty of unexpected casualties in the first round of the Carling Cup earlier this month so there will almost certainly be a few more this week. We've picked out three teams at risk of a humiliating exit to lower league opposition this evening...
Crewe v Ipswich
Ipswich's start to the new Championship campaign has defied our pre-season prediction that they would struggle and they are yet to taste defeat. The Tractor Boys did however require extra time to get past Exeter in the last round, and given that Roy Keane has suffered a fair few cup upsets in his managerial career, a trip to face a side that won 7-0 at the weekend has huge banana skin potential. The League Two club are [3.65] to triumph.
Hartlepool v Wigan
The managerless Monkey Hangers provided us with a tasty [3.7] winner a fortnight ago by dumping out Sheffield United yet despite getting underway impressively, the League One side are even longer tonight at [3.9] to beat hapless Wigan. Last season, Roberto Martinez's men were knocked out of the Carling Cup with a 4-1 loss away to Blackpool and were stunned at home by Notts County in the FA Cup, so the Latics are far from immune to cup shocks.
West Ham v Oxford
Premier League team hosting Football League newcomers should scream home banker, but West Ham have lost their first two games, while Oxford are unbeaten away and thumped Bristol Rovers 6-1 in the last round. West Ham have gone behind and been forced into extra-time in front of their own fans in each of the last two seasons, so the 90-minute lay at [1.4] or the draw at [5.4] must be considered, even if the Irons should eventually progress.

West Ham v Oxford should be a draw..
West ham have been well beaten twice this season, but they are a premier league boys, and play at home. It's hard to see Oxford or West Ham to win within 90 minutes.

Glad to hear you're on board Jimmy. Some other interesting prices (for small stake bets) are 27.0 on Oxford leading at half-time and it being a draw at full-time, and 30.0 on Oxford leading at half-time but losing at full-time.

Think that the Avram Grant factor will be enough for West Ham to record a victory in this cup match...
He worked wonders with Portsmouth in knock out games, so think he can get the same mentality out of his players in tonights game.
