Tottenham trauma delights Betfair backers

It wasn't only Arsenal supporters than enjoyed every second of Tottenham's crushing 4-0 defeat to Real Madrid in arguably their biggest match this century, as Betfair customers were able to take advantage of the best odds offered anywhere on the Spanish giants' emphatic margin of victory.

Anyone that staked £10 on Spurs slumping to a 4-0 loss was rewarded with a return of £190 on Betfair - even accounting for the maximum five per cent commission - whereas Bwin users received a comparatively paltry £110 for their shrewd selection.

There was also more money to be made betting against other people on Betfair on the big Championship game of Tuesday night as substitute Hal Robson-Kanu severely dented Preston's hopes of survival with a late winner for Reading as they beat the strugglers 2-1 at the Madejski Stadium.

Those that stuck £10 on that scoreline provided a profit of £81.40, compared to just £70 with Ladbrokes, William Hill, Victor Chandler and most other bookmakers.

Another opportunity to win big was presented by the standout League One fixture between Southampton and Charlton, as Betfair punters that placed £10 on the Saints triumphing 2-0 earned £66.50, while BetClic and Sporting Bet customers were forced to settle for just £50.

Don't take our word for it though, why not test Betfair yourself using Betchecker?

If this is what CL football is all about you can keep it. Van Persie gets sent of for kicking the ball after not hearing the whistle and last night's sending off was just as big a joke, but the vision of the Real Madrid player celebrating getting the Spurs player sent off will stay with me for a long time. Suddenly I have become a Barca fan or anybody who plays Real madrid.
