Tottenham to fight Hamburg for striker
According to reports in French newspaper L'Equipe, Tottenham Hotspur could be set for more trouble in the transfer market, with Hamburg also perusing Lorient striker Kevin Gameiro.
It's been long reported that Harry Redknapp is keen to bring the France international striker to White Hart Lane, and Spurs are apparently ready to launch a £6 million bid in January, according to talkSPORT.
It's been a disappointing summer on the striker front for Spurs, after failing to bring in any recognised goalscoring talent. And they could also be set for a difficult January, if reports that Hamburg are also looking at the forward are true.
Gameiro is hot property at the moment after scoring 29 goals in 77 games for Lorient, and making his France debut against Belarus last month.
