Tottenham still pondering more additions

Bongani Khumalo and Steven Pienaar have already joined Tottenham this month but the two South African internationals only cost the club a combined £4.5 million, so there's plenty of scope for further investment this month, and the Daily Express believe that further signings are on the cards.

Though he frequently contests his wheeler dealer tag, Harry Redknapp always appears to be at his liveliest during the transfer window, revelling in the mayhem while many of his fellow managers are on edge.

The Express believe that the Lilywhites boss is interested in bringing in Roma forward Mirko Vucinic as a replacement for the reportedly exit-bound Robbie Keane, initially on loan.

The Montenegrin is the latest Giallorossi player to tire of Claudio Ranieri's infamous tinkering, with captain Francesco Totti the main critic, and reacted angrily to being subbed against Cesena, a move that like many of Ranieri's alterations was vindicated as his replacement Adriano played a part in the winner.

The former Chelsea tactician insists that he has no intention of letting the 27-year-old leave however, unsurprisingly given that his record this season reads six goals in nine Serie A starts.

Spurs' four out-and-out strikers only just manage to match that if you add their Premier League tallies over a combined 29 starts, with their main goal threats so far in this campaign being Rafael van der Vaart - [1.51] favourite to be their top scorer - on nine and winger Gareth Bale ([4.0]) on seven.

Would Vucinic be a shrewd capture for Tottenham? Have your say below...

i think that spurs need to get rid of robbie keane for as little as 50p, he is realy useless these days, any striker would b better ,personally diego forlan or fabiano would be good but they should look for the best midfielder in the country and buy adam from blackpool hes definatly worth £25 million plus so anything less is a bargain please listen harry 'ADAM 'is ur man, huddlestone too slow hes a cart horse gets caught in possesion too many times and palacios is worse ,jenas has never been any good ,i dont get why he waves his arms about, its like he doesnt know what to do with the ball when he gets it ,,i trust harry's judgement, because van der vart was a shrewd deal .so go get forlan ,fabiano and adam ,,,,get rid of keane and jenas and teach crouch how to shoot straight
