Massive odds on 1-0 Tottenham on Betfair
Tuesday wasn't only a great night for the Tottenham fans that made the trip to Milan and stayed in the San Siro long after full-time singing and celebrating, as any Betfair punters that backed the Lilywhites to triumph 1-0 over the seven-time Champions League winners received huge rewards.
A £10 bet on the slender margin of victory returned an enormous £156.75 profit on Betfair - even accounting for the maximum five per cent commission - whereas BetClic customers had to settle for only £70 and Ladbrokes bettors were handed just £90 following Peter Crouch's winner.
There was also more money to be made betting against other people on Betfair on the half-time/full-time outcome, with a £10 outlay on the game being level at the interval and Spurs being ahead by full-time paid out £123.50 compared to £80 with Ladbrokes and BetClic.
The best prices were offered on Betfair for last night's other Champions League tie between Valencia and Schalke, in which Roberto Soldado fired the hosts in front in the first half only for long-term scourge of Los Che, Raul, to equalise after the break and in the process become all-time leading goalscorer.
A tenner on Valencia squandering a half-time advantage provided a £190 profit on Betfair rather than just £130 with Bwin, while the same stake on the final score being 1-1 delivered a £70.30 bounty, which was a big improvement on the £50 that Ladbrokes customers earned.
Those weren't the first instances of huge payouts on Betfair this week either, as anyone who stuck £10 on Monday night's west London derby between Fulham and Chelsea ending goalless won £109.25. By contrast, Bwin paid out only £75 on that result.
Don't take our word for it though, why not test Betfair yourself using Betchecker?
