The best punts for the big week ahead
After the relative quiet of last week, there is absolutely loads of football for you to enjoy this week. Tuesday sees the Champions League and the whole of the football league in action, while Thursday brings us some Europa League action. Here's our pick of the action...
Tuesday
QPR v Millwall
It couldn't be much better for QPR at the minute. Seven wins and a draw from their opening eight games has put them six points clear at the top of the Championship and made them overwhelming favourites at [2.52] to top the table come the end of the season. Millwall meanwhile, are without a win in five games and have lost their last two home matches - conceding eight goals in the process. We fancy QPR to come out in top in this one at a very generous [1.72].
Wednesday
Inter Milan v Werder Bremen
Defending Champions League winners Inter Milan haven't got off to the greatest of starts in this campaign. A 2-2 draw against Twente wasn't exactly the start that Rafa Benitez will have hoped for, but they should rectify the situation against Werder Bremen. The German side haven't won away in the Champions League in their last seven attempts, while Inter have only lost three of their last 24 in Europe at the San Siro. Back the Inter win at [1.73].
Thursday
Atletico Madrid v Bayer Leverkusen
In the Europa League, defending champions Atletico Madrid need to get things going after their opening defeat to Aris. They haven't lost a home game in the Europa League in their last ten matches and only conceded three goals in those clashes. In a run stretching back ten years, Bayer Leverkusen have only three wins in 15 away games in the competition. Atletico Madrid should come out on top at [2.1].
