Harry mulls mega bid for Newcastle's Caroll
Tottenham are reportedly lining up a record breaking £30 million bid for Newcastle striker Andy Carroll.
The 22-year-old has stormed the goalscoring charts this season with 11 Premier League strikes. His power and finishing has terrorised some of the top flight's most accomplished defenders and Harry Redknapp believes he may be the man to give Spurs' attack an extra edge. Peter Crouch could move in the opposite direction.
Arsene Wenger's search for a central defender is intensifying as the Arsenal boss mulls over a move for either Bolton's Gary Cahill or Blackburn's Chris Samba. As the Gunners pursue glory on four fronts, Wenger is looking for an experienced stopper who will bolster his side's soft centre.
The Steven Pienaar saga continues (does he really warrant such speculation?) with Tottenham and Chelsea vying for the South African's signature. Pienaar says he would prefer a move to Spurs as he believes he will get more first team opportunities but Chelsea may be able to offer Everton more money.
Kenny Dalglish could make two Liverpool signings this month with possible bids for Aston Villa's Stewart Downing and Bayern Munich midfielder Mark Van Bommel.
Meanwhile, both Manchester clubs like the look of Sunderland's Jordan Henderson and could be tempted in to January bids in order to stave off competition for the youngster's signature.
