The best of the Betfair football forum

After a weekend of shocks in the Premier League, and a jam-packed week of football league and Champions League action ahead of us, the Betfair Football forum has seen plenty of action of its own. Here are some of the best comments...

"Looking at keepers this season, Reina, Green, Cudicini, Kirkland, Cech, Schwarzer, Friedel (and that's just without having to really think about it) have all cost their sides points this year. Joe Hart has looked good, but even he went to pieces and flapped at everything in the England game against Switzerland after one fumble. There are no Schmeichels or Seamans around these days." - Sugarfoot

"Manchester United are a lay against Valencia tonight ([3.1]), no matter what way you look at it, especially if Jonny Evans has to play. Valencia are in hot form at the moment and having won their first game away, the pressure will be off to a degree." - Fiddles

"Rafa Benitez left enough for Roy Hodgson to work with, and Roy's added a couple of good players. Early form, tactics and results have not been great, but I think they are improving slowly and there is an awful long way to go, and some teams are probably in a worse position than we are, but haven't even realised it yet." - REDUNDANT PUNTER

"Nani is coming into his own. Technically he's one of the most gifted in the Premier League and is starting to show what he can do more and more. Could become a leader this year hopefully." - Winner Winner Chicken Dinner

"I expect West Ham to rocket up the table. We have a very decent run of games after a difficult start and whilst I expect us to finish about halfway, if we continue to play like we did on Saturday (this was the third game on the trot we had outplayed the opposition), top 8 is not inconceivable. To do this, we can't afford a glut of injuries." - Clockwork
