Man Utd to creep closer to the title against Arsenal
United are [1.11] to win the Premier League and a win against Arsenal on Sunday would be massive step towards securing that 20th title.
You can get [2.92] on a United win and those odds should be grabbed. Arsenal are the favourites at [2.68] which we find a little strange. After all, the Gunners haven't won in four and United have beaten them twice already this term without conceding. The draw is [3.45].
United were sensational against Schalke in midweek but even the best teams can be vulnerable following European action. We believe that our title bet on the Reds will soon pay out but it doesn't hurt to consider worst-case scenarios. For example, should United lose on Sunday and Chelsea ([9.6]) win against Tottenham, the Blues could come to Old Trafford next week trailing by only three points.
United have won 3-1 on their last two trips to the Emirates. It would be asking a lot for a similar scoreline - what with this match sandwiched between the Champions League semi-final legs - but we believe the Reds should be backed to win.
Sir Alex has said that we will see a different team on Sunday and Nani is one man who we would expect to return to the starting line-up. The Portuguese winger is having his best season yet and we're backing him to score against Arsenal.
Arsene Wenger likes his team to go out and play and the last five matches between these two in north London have produced over 2.5 goals. The thrilling 3-3 draw with Tottenham was an example of what can happen when teams go for it against the Gunners. However, United are not Tottenham - they haven't conceded in their last three matches and for that reason we're going to have a small stakes bet on under 1.5 goals at [3.7].
In the midst of a hectic programme of fixtures, victory against Arsenal would be a terrific result for the Reds. We're backing them to round off an excellent week with a 0-1 win at [11.0].
