Man Utd reserve boss snubbed Molde job
Manchester United reserve team boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed that he rejected the opportunity to return to Norway and manage former club Molde because he feels indebted to Sir Alex Ferguson for giving him his start as a coach.
The job was eventually given, rather ironically, to Manchester City Hall of Fame inductee Uwe Rosler instead after the Old Trafford legend, famous for coming off the bench to score the winner in the 1999 Champions League Final, declined.
Solskjaer also admitted that he would love to manage Manchester United. He's [28.0] to succeed Ferguson, a price that puts him level with Steve Bruce and ahead of Mark Hughes and Roy Keane ([44.0]), however he doesn't expect to receive a Pep Guardiola-esque promotion.
The 37-year-old said: I want to be manager of Manchester United, but you won't go from being reserve team coach to head coach there - that only happens in Barcelona."
Manchester United fans, would you like to see Solskjaer given a chance in the future? Let us know with a comment in the box below...
