Man Utd check out the Bundesliga's finest
The Press Association are reporting that Manchester United goalkeeping coach Eric Steele was in Germany on Sunday running the rule over two potential successors to Edwin van der Sar as the club's first-choice custodian.
Bayer Leverkusen and Schalke met in the Bundesliga in a match that was won 2-0 by the hosts to improve their [9.8]-rated chances of beating long-time leaders Borussia Dortmund to the title, with Steele said to have been focussed on the performance of international shot-stoppers Rene Adler and Manuel Neuer.
Despite signing Danish international Anders Lindegaard in January, the expectation is that the [1.62] Premier League favourites will bring in another goalkeeper this summer to ensure that they are fully prepared to cope with the departure of long-term number one van der Sar, who is set to retire.
The Red Devils have been linked with numerous replacements, with Liverpool's Pepe Reina and Atletico Madrid's David de Gea two of the names that refuse to go away, but both would command huge transfer fees, with Atletico president Enrique Cerezo recently quoting £18 million for de Gea.
Neuer is perhaps the most likely arrival having already proven his pedigree by representing Germany at last year's World Cup and playing in the Champions League, while the likelihood of Schalke failing to qualify next season should drive down his price a little and make him more open to a move.

Of course Manuel Neuer by far is the best in the Bundesliga. He's blond and as we all know they tend to do well at OT. Come on boy lets win a treble.
