Man United take Bebe to Scunthorpe
Man United's trip to Scunthorpe United looks set to give the travelling fans an opportunity to witness first hand whether Sir Alex Ferguson should really be scooping egg from his face, with a rumoured place in the squad for contentious new boy, Bebe.
There have been unfounded rumours circulating that the Portugal Under-21 star was not even good enough to warrant a place in the reserves. Although Fergie has dismissed these rumours as nothing but vicious gossip
Anyway, however things pan out in terms of Portuguese wingers, it's safe to say that the defending Carling Cup champs are fully expected to steamroller their hosts, with current odds of [1.43] to take the tie.
But beware! Despite winning the competition the previous two seasons, United are prone to hiccups in the League Cup - losing to Southend in 2006, Coventry in 2007, and Derby in 2009.
Should Scunthorpe build up a head of steam against the United second stringers, they could yet prove to be decent business, with odds of [9.0] to upset the apple cart.
A rather more tempting option might be to back United to start slowly, then win the thing in the second half. You can gets odds of [4.8] for a half time draw, followed by a United win.
