Man City striker's future is again unclear
Carlos Tevez has told Argentine radio that he is looking to leave Manchester City this summer, just 48 hours after his manager Roberto Mancini claimed that his captain had revealed his intention to remain at Eastlands ahead of next season's predicted title challenge.
The Italian tactician made those comments after being questioned over the former West Ham and Manchester United striker appearing to wave goodbye to supporters at the end of their final home game against Stoke, during which he scored two fantastic goals to boost his top scorer challenge.
However, Tevez had never given any assurances that he would stay put since opting to withdraw his December transfer request, and the expectation of many was that he planned to help them achieve their objectives in the current campaign and then move abroad on good terms at its conclusion.
He has indicated that is his aim by telling Radio del Plata: ""I want to leave Manchester City. Football has changed a lot for me and I don't know if I will even make it to the next World Cup. And that has nothing to do with whether I'm selected or not.
"I've been treated very well here and I'm grateful. I also gave my all for the club to receive the results it has had. But I need a change of scene."
The 27-year-old admitted that his ideal solution would be to return to Boca Juniors in his homeland but that it is an unrealistic proposal financially, while Mancini told the Italian press earlier this year that he was keen to play in Italy, which will no doubt prompt further suggestions of a switch to Inter.
Will he depart as top scorer? He is [1.96] to outdo Dimitar Berbatov on Sunday...
