Adebayor to leave Man City for Juventus

Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor has grown tired of waiting for first-team opportunities at Eastlands and claims that he has agreed a deal to join Italian giants Juventus on loan in January.

The Togolese attacker has struggled to get a game of late at a time when even Roque Santa Cruz and Jo have been used by Roberto Mancini and according to Sky Sports told Sport/Foot Magazine that he is fed up with life on the bench.

He reportedly said: "I don't know what I did wrong to Roberto Mancini, but he never plays me. I'm going to change air during the transfer window in January. And I can tell you that City has already reached an agreement with Juventus for a loan."

Adebayor was linked with a move to Turin in the summer but opted to stay and fight for his place, however these quotes would suggest that the Bianconeri are still interested in strengthening up front despite boasting the most prolific attack in Italy.

A potential problem noted by Sky Sportsis the strict rules on foreign signings in Serie A which prevent more than one non-EU player from being bought from abroad per club a season.

As Juventus captured Milos Krasic, who has swiftly emerged as their star player, from CSKA Moscow in the summer, they would presumably be prevented from adding Adebayor to their squad.

Is Adebayor right to look to leave or should he bide his time? Tell us below...

I understand loans are excluded from Serie A Non- EU player restrictions.
