The forum on Liverpool's rise up the table

A 5-2 victory at Fulham has put Liverpool in pole position to salvage a top-five finish ([1.32]) from what at one point threatened to be a disastrous season, prompting many members of the Betfair football forum to predict big things for them next term...

"Nobody can deny Liverpool look bloody good under Kenny Dalglish. Since he took over, the points they have would have them in close second, all this with their best player and leader missing and kids playing every week. They have smashed Manchester United and City, beaten Chelsea and drawn with Arsenal. If he gets a full pre-season and a few more choice players in along with these brilliant youngsters, they need to be take very seriously next year...They will start as third favourites next year behind Manchester United and Chelsea." - Zippie..the..hippie

"I thought earlier in the season we would have to wait four or five years to get back in Champions League. It's amazing how different I feel now after a few months. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect us to be really fighting for a Champions League spot next year." - anfieldkings

"Liverpool are much better off without Fernando Torres. Dalglish is useful but by far the best change has been booting out that flash-in-a-pan Spaniard. If he gets 10 goals for Chelsea next season that's some going." - realitycheck

"I don't think it's a coincidence that their best form is coming without Steven Gerrard. To me, his legs have gone. He looks a shadow of the player he once was." - Mr Eboue

"This side now is very different from the one that relied on a misfiring Torres and a manager out of his depth, with Raul Meireles, Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll in and Roy Hodgson and the board room out and the progression of the youngsters. The recent thrashing of Manchester United should have taught you that, let alone our ever increasing goal tally. Next season they will make a big impact and contribute to the title push." - charwell.

"I see next season as a chance for us to seriously challenge in the top four again and I think there is a very good chance we can get back into the Champions League, but as much as it pains me to say this, I see Manchester United and Chelsea being too strong for us to mount a serious title threat next season, but Manchester City and particularly Arsenal we can do better than over the course of the season. I'd then see the season after next, assuming there is this progression, as the season when we can realistically challenge for a title strongly again." - Yakkiran90

There are a few facts why Liverpool have improved
The Cowboys have gone,Torres has gone, the arrival of Steve Clarke, signing of Luis Suarez(next season for Carroll),Roy Hodgson going who fell for all press rubbish that the squad was not good enougth especially from Keys and Gray and the press,New Board but most of all a real Manager in Kenny who belives in the players and what can be achieved by working as a team with the Liverpool way of pass and move.
