Liverpool target reveals interest in move

Ask most Liverpool fans which areas they'd like to see their squad strengthened this summer and it won't take long for them to move on to left back, with Paul Konchesky failing to impress before exiting on loan to Nottingham Forest in January and Fabio Aurelio available infrequently.

They've been linked with plenty of full backs over the last few months and one of those alleged targets, Lyon's Aly Cissokho has encouraged a bid by revealing his admiration for the Premier League and even going as far as to name drop the Reds when discussing possible destinations.

He said: "I think this is a league that suits me. It is a league where you can show power and get forward. Whether it is clubs like Manchester United, Arsenal, Manchester City, now Liverpool or Chelsea, they are clubs you dream about."

Of the five teams mentioned, Liverpool are arguably the ones whose need for reinforcement is greatest and that coupled with the fact that the Senegalese international plays in France, where director of football Damien Comolli has no shortage of contacts, perhaps makes them favourites.

If Lyon decide that the time is not right to sell the 23-year-old former Porto star then it is suggested by The Sun that they could try to bring back trainee Stephen Warnock from Aston Villa.

Bolton and Stoke are also believed to be tracking the two-time England man, though his form for Villa has been desperately disappointing this season, resulting in him losing his place, so it would be a bit of a shock if Kenny Dalglish gave him another chance at Anfield right now?

Where will Liverpool finish? They are [3.5] to overtake Tottenham...

Agree, I don't think Kenny will bring him back. He surely didn't play well against Liverpool this year.
