Liverpool players attract European interest

As the many Liverpool fans wanting Roy Hodgson sacked will confirm, their start to the season has been far from brilliant but that apparently hasn't affected the standing of several of their players.

The Daily Mail claim that Juventus are interested in taking long-term benchwarmer Ryan Babel off their hands. The Turin giants having already benefitted from signing another Reds reject, Alberto Aquilani, on loan with an option to buy this season, with the former Roma midfielder performing impressively enough to earn an Italy recall.

It is also suggested that La Liga underperformers Sevilla are keen on Lucas Leiva. The Brazilian midfielder was once a regular scapegoat for all that went wrong at Anfield but his importance to the club has grown over the last year or so and he is gradually winning over his doubters.

The 23-year-old has been a frequent starter for new Brazil boss Mano Menezes and has also started ten league games under Hodgson, so the former Fulham manager is unlikely to welcome an approach from the Champions League-chasing Spaniards.

Liverpool supporters - would you let either man go? Let us know below...

Get rid of Babble (He thinks he is a rapper but at footie he's even crapper).

Poulson should go as should Koncheski, but Lucas has turned things around and is improving all the time so we need to keep him.

But the first to go should be Hodgson, he is a useless coach/manager who has done nothing in his very long career and should retire now before he does any more damage.
