Andy Carroll will be given his second start for his country on Tuesday evening after England manager Fabio Capello confirmed that the Liverpool striker will line up against Ghana in a side captained by Manchester City midfielder Gareth Barry.

Barry is, alongside Tottenham forward Jermain Defoe, the most-capped player in the Three Lions squad following the departures of John Terry, Frank Lampard, Ashley Cole, Michael Dawson and Wayne Rooney having made 45 appearances, and has worn the armband twice before under Capello.

The Italian tactician has also revealed that he expects approximately seven changes from the team that brushed aside Wales at the Millennium Stadium on Saturday, with Leighton Baines, Gary Cahill and Phil Jagielka certain to start at the back.

There was interesting news from a West Ham perspective as it was announced that Scott Parker will play once again if he recovers from a minor niggle in time, however there will be no opportunity of redemption for Robert Green, who will still play deputy to Joe Hart despite the alterations elsewhere.

It remains unclear whether Carroll will be partnered up front or if Capello will stick with the three in midfield that proved so effective against Wales, but his refusal to discuss debuts for Kyle Walker and Matt Jarvis implies that both will be on the bench, perhaps indicating another game for Glen Johnson.

England's price has drifted slightly since Capello's team news, as having been [1.72] on Monday morning, they are now out to [1.76] to beat Ghana at Wembley, with the visitors [5.4] to triumph.
