Carroll and Adam on their way to Liverpool
It looks like Newcastle and Blackpool are set to be rewarded for their ability to drive a hard bargain as Liverpool have moved closer to signing both Andy Carroll and Charlie Adam.
Liverpool's unprecedentedly busy deadline day looks set to end with them completing a hat-trick of new signings to soften the blow of Fernando Torres' imminent switch to Chelsea with long-term target Luis Suarez also widely expected to be confirmed as a Reds player.
Newcastle rejected two bids for Carroll before eventually accepting a third somewhere around the £35 million mark after the academy product handed in a transfer request to force his way to Anfield.
It has also broken at around 5.30pm that Blackpool midfielder Adam, who Kenny Dalglish has tried unsuccessfully all move to agree a fee for, is en route to Merseyside for discussions although it has not been clarified whether the Seasiders have accepted an offer for the Scottish star.
Can the promoted clubs afford to lose their star players? Blackpool are [4.2] to be relegated with Newcastle [21.0] to go down...

Interesting to see what Liverpool fans think, if I would have said at the beginning of the season you will sign Adam and Carroll for near 50million combined and lose Torres then they would have gone mad, I personally think Torres is miles better and it doesnt make sense to me
