Day 169: We're backing Sporting Braga to beat Dynamo Kiev at [2.5]

Odds of [2.5] on Sporting Braga seeing off Dynamo Kiev in the only Europa League quarter-final truly in the balance heading into the second leg is hugely tempting for a number of reasons, including the fact that the Ukrainian side failed to get the better of them as hosts just seven days earlier.

Also well worth taking into account is the fact that Sporting Braga have won six of their seven European home games this season, including each of the last four, and they haven't conceded a single goal in any of those fixtures in which they have been victorious.

They also head into this encounter on a run of five successive triumphs in front of their fans during which the likes of fellow quarter-finalists Benfica, Kenny Dalglish's Liverpool and potential Europa League qualifiers Vitoria Guimaraes have been vanquished.

Dynamo Kiev meanwhile appear to be in decline after an electric start to life back under Yuri Semin's guidance, winning only one of their last five matches, and none of their last three on the road.

They must also chase the tie - which Braga boast the initiative in thanks to their away goal in Ukraine - without veteran striker Andriy Shevchenko, who has scored three times in this year's competition, after he was sent off in the first leg, providing Braga backers with further reason for optimism.

Our bet: We're backing Sporting Braga to defeat Dynamo Kiev at [2.5], meaning that - before factoring in commission - we stand to win £15. The same punt pays only £13 with William Hill and Boylesports. Sign up for a new account now and have your first bet of up to £25 refunded if it loses.
