Andy Gray on the price of Liverpool failure
Every week, Betfair Football's star tipster Andy Gray picks out and answers his favourite question out of those he is asked on Twitter and Facebook. Here's his answer to this week's poser...
"Are Liverpool in serious danger of missing out on Europe? If so, what implications do you think this could have?" - @GypsyParis
Liverpool are in danger of missing out on European football next year, but there's a simple answer as to what the implications of that would be - we don't know!
It's easier to keep the big name foreign players at your club when you have European football to look forward to, yes. But we don't know what the owners' plans are and not every player agitates for a move when the chips are down. Don't assume there will be an Anfield exodus.
I think the pressure on Roy Hodgson is a little unfair. Everyone looks at what Jose Mourinho did at Chelsea and uses that as their example of how to take the reins at a big club, but Mourinho took over a team that had finished second in the league. Liverpool are miles away from that.
The problem for Hodgson is that he was not employed by the current owners and in that respect he is in the same position as Mark Hughes was at Manchester City last season.
But Liverpool are in the top half of the Premier League and it's early days yet. If Hodgson keeps the team improving, then they can do it.

Ask Andy why did he and the media cronies hound out Rafa Benitez for this absolute no mark of a manager who is:
(a) Out of his depth
(b) Defeatist
(c) Doesn't get the fans expectations
(d) Making us worse than we were last season

Hodgson's Liverpool =
Score first = Defend deep.
Concede = attack a little bit more.
Score 0-0 = Counter.
Boring Hodgson = OUT pronto!!!!!

I'm sick to the back teeth of hearing people on tele, including this clown sticking up for Roy Hodgson.
My question is simple. Why is it that 90% of all Liverpool supporters can see from a mile that Hodgson is no good for our club but none of the one's who are supposed to know it all can't ?.
Yeah I know before anyone answers that, it ain't that they can't see it because they can, they just ain't got the bottle to say what they see.
I know I can speak for all our fan's when I say that this is not our style, calling for the heads of managers, not without good reason, and I can think of a long list of good reasons why Hodgson must go.
There is no way that we can keep putting up with this much longer.
It's like I said before, he should never have got the job and if it hadn't been for that Chelsea git he wouldn't have, Now that same Chelsea git is suggesting that we ground share with Everton, No offence Everton fan's, it's nothing personal but thank's but no thank's.
