Unconvincing explanation of the week
"My appolgise (sic) ... My friend took my phone and start messing around.... I was just watching the game ..." - Van Aanholt blames a prankster friend for the Tweets. Does anyone believe him?
Consoler of the week
"When you come to the end of your career it's something you'll be remembered for. What's in his head? I haven't got a clue." - Cardiff boss Dave Jones fails to make 18-year-old defender Adam Matthews feel any better about his spectacular own goal against Ipswich last weekend.
Twit of the week 2
"No excuses for last nite, we weren't good enough. And I failed personally. Haven't lost faith, so I keep working." - Ryan Babel apologises to Liverpool fans via Twitter after their Carling Cup exit to Northampton. At least least one person still has faith in him.
