Alternative bets for Liverpool's Dutch test
We've already offered you a risk free bet on Liverpool's trip to FC Utrecht, but there are lots of other punts we like the look of too...
Back Ricky van Wolfswinkel to score
He might have a name that sounds like it was invented by a comic book writer, but the 21-year-old has been absolutely deadly this season. Seven goals in his last seven games makes him more than a decent bet to put one past Pepe Reina and he's priced at [3.65] to get a goal and [8.8] to score first. The fact FC Utrecht are struggling in the Eredivisie in 13th place makes his scoring exploits all the more impressive.
Back Liverpool to concede
Much criticised last season, Liverpool's defence has not shown much sign of improvement in this one, only keeping two clean sheets so far, against West Brom and Birmingham, shipping nine goals in their other four games. With the protection Javier Mascherano provided gone, it's a good bet that they will concede again against Utrecht, hence fairly short odds of [1.52] on the Reds conceding compared to [2.8] on them keeping Utrecht out.
Back Liverpool to win from behind
A much more profitable bet is that the Anfield team will have to come from behind to win. Think about it, an early defensive lapse, punished by the in-form van Wolfswinkel, only for the Reds to come back and win, like they did away to Trabzonspor. Odds of [13.5] make it a lucrative one if it comes off.
