Bet up to £30 risk free on Everton drawing
The Merseyside derby was supposed to mark the start of Everton's charge up the table but the Toffees have only won one of their five matches since - a rather fortuitous 1-0 home success against Stoke - and head into tonight's televised clash at Sunderland just a point and two places off the relegation zone.
Despite Sunderland's heroics at Stamford Bridge eight days ago, we don't see Everton being beaten this evening for a number of reasons, perhaps the most significant being that they love playing Sunderland, losing none of their last dozen encounters.
In addition, they haven't actually suffered defeat on their travels since August, while their 2-1 reverse at the hands of Arsenal last week ended a seven-game unbeaten run.
We can't see David Moyes' side winning though, as West Ham in the Carling Cup are the only away team to have triumphed at the Stadium of Light this season, while Manchester United are the sole visitors to have taken three points off them on Wearside in the Premier League in 2010. The draw therefore stands out as the best bet at [3.3].
Thanks to our special offer for those opening new Betfair accounts, you can bet up to £30 on this match or anything else that catches your eye within seven days of signing up and any losing wagers will be refunded, so there's no absolutely no risk involved.
Of course, there are no restrictions so you can instead have a loss-proof punt on either club winning - continuing the trend whereby there hasn't been a draw all weekend in the Premier League - however the fact Sunderland and Everton are inseparable on [2.84] strengthens our belief that the spoils will be shared.
