Drogba to Tottenham?

Who knows where Tottenham would be by now if they just had a striker who could score.

A paltry return of 13 goals by Roman Pavlyuchenko, Peter Crouch and Jermain Defoe suggests there will be movement in the forward ranks - and maybe Harry Redknapp is already thinking about next season with a bid for Didier Drogba.

The Daily Telegraph reports that the Chelsea veteran - scorer of 12 goals this year - could be a Tottenham target. Drogba has just one year left on his contract and has seen Fernando Torres arrive in a massive £50m deal, while rumours persist that Neymar could be the latest big money recruit to the Blues' forward line.

However, Harry's quotes suggest the transfer is unlikely.

When asked of his plans to sign the 33-year-old, the Spurs manager said: "It's difficult to say, couldn't really say that, could I?

"He's a fantastic centre-forward - power, strength, he's got everything. He plays for Chelsea and until they decide otherwise, you can't speculate about his future. But he's a good player."
