Chelsea looking to sign John Terry critic
After months of bringing you all the best - and a few of the worst - transfer rumours that have done the rounds this summer, it looks like we've finally found our favourite, and astoundingly, it looks like there's actually some substance to it too.
Jorge Cyterszpiler, the agent of Argentine defender Martin Demichelis, has claimed that Chelsea are chasing the out-of-favour Bayern Munich man, who according to The Guardian's Bundesliga expert Raphael Honigstein refused to accept a seat on the bench against Wolfsburg, so was duly left out altogether by unbothered coach Louis van Gaal.
Cyterszpiler said: "We spoke with Juventus, but they are not the only club interested. There are at least four clubs in for the player. As well as the Bianconeri, there are also Barcelona, Chelsea and Sevilla."
Chelsea ([2.38] Premier League title favourites) are likely to need another centre back, having sold Ricardo Carvalho to Real Madrid and largely used Branislav at right back - with brilliant results.
So what is it about the speculation that we find hugely amusing? Perhaps it's because Demichelis had this to say about the Blues captain last month: "Seeing the way Terry played against Germany, if I was Terry I wouldn't be able to go back to my country."
The incredibly catty comment was made even funnier by the fact Demichelis would go on to fare equally dreadfully against Joachim Low's side in the next round. Maybe that's why the 29-year-old is so eager to exit the country.
But why would Chelsea enquire after a player that isn't likely get on too well with Mr Chelsea? Surely this isn't phase one of Roman Abramovich's previously suggested "get JT away from Stamford Bridge" operation? We'll leave you to tell us below...

Hilarious - can't wait to see him and the vastly overrated and overprotected Terry lock horns during a critical match. (Mind you, Demichelis could've been talking about any one of seven or eight England players, tbh.)

At least he was spot on about "Mr Chelsea" and his laughable performance against Germany.
