Chelsea favoured over Arsenal for second

Arsene Wenger accused Andre Marriner of playing too much additional time and even argued that he was wrong to award Liverpool a penalty for a foolish foul by Emmanuel Eboue, however the fact remains that Arsenal took the lead in the 98th minute of a game and still failed to claim three points.

The Gunners manager's anger might have been received with more sympathy if they had been denied victory in a match that they had dominated, but the reality is that they received a lucky break at the end of a disappointing display and were unable to see it out for a few minutes longer.

His spat with opposite number Kenny Dalglish after the final whistle attracted plenty of attention, yet the Liverpool boss argued that the encounter itself was worthy of more focus, and Manchester United won't have been the only excited onlookers, as it was also an excellent result for Chelsea.

The champions appear to have very little chance of holding onto the title stuck eight points behind the Red Devils with six fixtures left, though their prospects are now rated as highly - or lowly perhaps - as Arsenal's, with their price of [14.0] to finish first identical to that of their capital rivals.

That's because the Blues have given themselves a huge opportunity to beat the north Londoners to second place by triumphing 3-1 over West Brom at The Hawthorns on Saturday. In fact, they could pass them over the next few days, if they defeat Birmingham and Arsenal fail to win at Tottenham.

Betfair punters have picked up on the possibility, aided by four of Chelsea's final six games coming at Stamford Bridge, while four of Arsenal's are away from the Emirates. Carlo Ancelotti's side are consequently [1.93] to end up in the top two, whereas the Gunners are [1.98].

It's Obvious. London Pride will prevail i.e. The not so invincible Blues... Chelsea were flying high last season this time around, scoring 5,6,7 or 8 goals a match. Just ask Villa and Wigan (*_^)
