Blackpool backers enjoy a great weekend!
Blackpool's brilliant start to the season continued over the weekend as they recorded their fourth away victory - one more than Chelsea have delivered and an incredible three more than title favourites Manchester United have managed - away to a Stoke side who were unbeaten in five games.
The Seasiders triumphed 1-0 courtesy of a DJ Campbell goal and anyone who had £10 on the scoreline on Betfair won back a massive £228 - even accounting for the maximum five per cent commission - whereas Stan James and Ladbrokes customers had to settle for just £80.
Elsewhere, one of the biggest shocks in the Football League came at St Mary's, where Southampton's climb up the League One table was halted by rapidly improving Brentford. Shrewd punters who backed the Bees to earn a fifth straight away win and staked £10 on a 2-0 margin earned a £408.50 payout on Betfair, whereas the same wager paid out £200 with Ladbrokes.
It's not often that a side recently promoted from League One losing at home to one that dropped out of the Premier League in the summer would be considered an upset but Norwich's loss to Portsmouth at Carrow Road in the Championship was something of a surprise.
Those who saw it coming were rewarded handsomely though, with a £10 outlay on Pompey's 2-0 success providing a profit of £228. In contrast, Stan James only returned £120.
Don't take our word for it though, why not test Betfair yourself using Betchecker?
