Andy's Sunday tips - Blackburn to impress

One of the big concerns for Blackburn fans when Steve Kean took over was that he wouldn't be able to attract the same calibre of players as Sam Allardyce did.

We'll have to wait a while to see if that's true in the long-term, but the two loan arrivals of Jermaine Jones and Roque Santa Cruz (in his second spell at Ewood Park of course) are certainly a good start as far as Kean's transfer activity has gone.

He'll have to make sure he holds on to big Chris Samba though as his leadership and aerial presence won't be easily replaced.

West Brom have been quite unpredictable this season and have mixed up a few really good performances - like their display at home to Manchester United (a game which they ended up losing) - with some really ordinary efforts in which they haven't looked like a Premier League club at all.

If they put in the sort of performance that they did against Manchester United in this match, then they've definitely got a chance of getting at least a point here. But that's a big if.

Blackburn have been solid at home for a few years now and have made a habit of winning matches against teams in the bottom six and I think this one will go to form.
