The forum on Birmingham's nervy finale

Birmingham enter the final day outside the relegation zone on goal difference but with Wigan's visit to Stoke rated easier than the Blues' trip to Tottenham, they are second favourites to join West Ham in the Championship at [1.67]. Will they survive? The Betfair football forum users aren't convinced...

"Surely Birmingham won't go down again. With the curse put to rest and a trophy in the cupboard, it looked like the club had finally turned the corner but here we are again." - bix

"Things just got a whole lot worse for Birmingham with UEFA's announcement that England are to receive a Fair Play entry to the Europa League. If Spurs ([1.56]) don't secure fifth place, the players' summer holidays could be cut short by about a month so they've everything to play for." - hippie

"I'm a season ticket holder and could see this coming. Defensively we're okay but there is no attacking threat at all. I just hope and pray that somehow we can escape or it's going to tough next season. We might as well pull out of the Europa League if we go down. We're relying on other teams now." - jules002

"Our first away game in Europe will be a cracking trip, the best thing to happen for years. I would have swapped relegation for winning a trophy and playing in Europe every time." - Banks.

"If you really think playing in the tinpot Europa League will compensate for being relegated you really are deluded. I can see it now, FC Haka v Birmingham, and that will be the best thing to happen for years. You must lead a boring life." - nortons

"Personally, I think Blues will draw on Sunday ([4.5]) and stay up via some fluky way such as goal difference. I can't see Blues winning at White Hart Lane. And Blues won't be coming back up, not for long time if relegated! They are in major financial ruin if they get relegated." - tiny dave
