Schweinsteiger to United?
There are some lively Sunday rumours with three of England's biggest clubs weighing up January bids...
With the likes of Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs nearing the ends of their Manchester United careers, Sir Alex Ferguson is keen to inject new blood into his midfield.
And the Scot believes that Bayern Munich's Bastian Schweinsteiger could be the man. Ferguson is a long time admirer of the Germany player, who has performed well at two World Cups, and is weighing up an offer.
Schweinsteiger currently has 18 months left on his Bayern deal and it is accepted at the German club that he wishes to move on, with the Premier League a likely destination. Fergie may have to move quickly though, as Chelsea and Manchester City are also keen on the player.
Elsewhere, Arsenal look like they could be ready to act on their long term interest in Bolton's Gary Cahill with a January bid for the player. Arsene Wenger is keen to firm up his defence and sees the England centre-back as an ideal solution to a problem that has so far blighted his team's Premier League campaign.
It's at the opposite end of the pitch that Roy Hodgson is looking to invigorate his squad. Liverpool are reportedly considering making an offer for highly-rated Sampdoria's Antonio Cassano.
The striker is embroiled in a dispute with club president Ricardo Garrone that looks likely to make his departure inevitable. However, Serie A champions Inter are also keen to sign the 28-year-old.
