Betfair punters gain from Arsenal collapse
It wasn't quite as spectacular or as unforgivable a setback as failing to see out a lead gained in the 98th minute against Liverpool but Arsenal will still be very disappointed at having ended up with a point at White Hart Lane in a game that they led 3-1.
The latest dropped points have caused many to write off the Gunners' Premier League title challenge but while there were no winners in north London last night, there were a fair few Betfair users that saw such a result coming and were rewarded accordingly.
Anyone that stuck £10 on a 3-3 draw made a £608 profit - even accounting for the maximum five per cent commission - compared to just £330 with Stan James and those that bet the same amount on a half-time/full-time combo of Arsenal/Draw won £147.25, an increase on the £115 provided by Bwin.
There was also more money to be made betting against other people on Betfair on Tuesday night's Premier League encounter between Newcastle and Manchester United, as the table-toppers were held to their fourth away stalemate of the season.
The shrewd punters that noted that trend and lumped on claimed a handsome prize, with a £10 flutter on the goalless draw delivering a £123.50 return. Coral, BetClic and Bwin customers were forced to settle for only £90 for an identical wager.
Don't take our word for it though, why not test Betfair yourself using Betchecker?
