Arsenal forward pondering a summer exit

Another summer of upheaval could be on the cards for Arsenal because, with it already widely reported that Nicklas Bendtner will look for a new club at the end of the season, it is also claimed that fellow substitute striker Marouane Chamakh is planning to follow him out of north London.

The Moroccan international kicked off the campaign well as first-choice Robin van Persie struggled for fitness, scoring six times in his first dozen appearances, but swiftly fell out of favour once the Dutchman was available again and hasn't started a Premier League game in 2011.

His overall record for the Gunners remains fairly impressive, with 11 goals delivered in 26 starts in all competitions, though his form has definitely declined, arguably as a consequence of his reduced role, with just one strike to show for his last 19 appearances, and that came against Leyton Orient.

Arsene Wenger may have decided as a result to push the former Bordeaux forward, signed on a free transfer last year, before he has a chance to jump, and reports in France indicate that current champions Marseille are interested in offering the 27-year-old the opportunity to return to Ligue 1.

Arsenal face a vital week in their bid to be crowned champions for the first time in seven seasons, hosting Liverpool on Sunday and visiting Tottenham on Wednesday, and if you fancy them to close the seven-point gap to Manchester United in those ties, they can be backed at [7.6] to finish first.

All things working together for good. Two successive Man. U draws and a hiding in Emirates for the Reds will put the white colour on Arsenal oufit. This is a prophecy!
