Andy's Tuesday tips - Easy win for Arsenal
A lot was made of Arsenal's performance away to Ipswich a couple of weeks ago, especially after captain Cesc Fabregas openly criticised his own team's tactics as being too direct and untypical of the way Arsenal play the game.
Okay, it wasn't a great performance and a team of Arsenal's calibre shouldn't be losing matches like that full stop but let's remember the context of the match. Ipswich were at home and the fans and players were desperate for a big performance and they got one.
The Gunners always had the safety blanket of the return leg at home to rectify matters and only the most passionate Ipswich supporter will truly believe their side can hang on to their one-goal lead.
I suspect Arsene Wenger will show both the opposition and the competition ample respect and field a pretty strong side and if they get going I think we may see the floodgates open.
Wenger has been under pressure to win a trophy for a while now and he'll want to book his side's place in the final in style rather than just crawl over the line.
The first leg may have been a bit of a nightmare for the Gunners but I can't see anything other than the most comfortable of wins on Tuesday night.
