Alternative bets for Arsenal's Partizan clash
We told you earlier that we thought Arsenal would get a draw in Serbia in their Champions League clash against Partizan Belgrade this evening, but there are plenty of other markets that have caught our eye...
Back over 2.5 goals
Of Arsenal's last ten competitive games, only two of them have ended with less than three goals being scored - the 1-1 draws with Liverpool and Sunderland this season. Also, despite their relatively poor European away record, the Gunners have only failed to score on one of their last six away days in the Champions League. Partizan have conceded five goals in their last three European games, so backing over 2.5 goals at [2.0] could certainly be worth a punt.
Back Samir Nasri to score
With Arsenal playing so poorly against West Brom at the weekend, Samir Nasri seemed to take it upon himself to try and get something out of the game for the Gunners. He nearly did it too, scoring two goals in the last 15 minutes. His good form, combined with the fact that he looks set to be Arsenal's penalty taker with both Robin van Persie and Cesc Fabregas out injured (he scored two against Spurs in the Carling Cup), means the [3.75] offered for him to find the net looks very tempting.
Back both teams to score
Backing against the Arsenal clean sheet is a slightly miserly [1.55], so instead we're going to back both teams to score at [1.84]. We've outlined above why we reckon there will be plenty of goals in this game, so having a couple of quid on both teams to find the net looks like a very good way of eking out a few extra pounds. If you're feeling even more adventurous, you could even have a punt on the game to finish level at 2-2 for the very tasty price of [18.0].
