Swindon in danger of cup upset at Crawley
There's one standout reason why ESPN have chosen to televise tonight's FA Cup second round clash between Conference title challengers Crawley Town and underperforming League One side Swindon Town, last year's play-off final losers - they sniff an upset.
There's also a reasonable chance of seeing a fair few goals too - over 2.5 is [1.79] - if their first round ties were anything to go by, Crawley hammering Conference North promotion hopefuls Guiseley 5-0 on their travels and Swindon sticking four past a Plymouth team that are above them in the table at Home Park.
That Swindon success was particularly surprising because the Robins have only won one away league match - against bottom club Walsall - but it neatly reflected the erraticness of their disappointing campaign, in which they've beaten the likes of Southampton, Colchester and Huddersfield yet lost to promoted Notts County and Dagenham and Redbridge.
Crawley's price of [2.94] may look a little short given that they finished last term fifty places below their visitors in the football pyramid, however they are having a very impressive season that many expect to end with the Red Devils earning a place in the Football League.
They were 7-0 winners last weekend over Altrincham, Matt Tubbs scoring a hat-trick and Richard Brodie netting twice off the bench - while Swindon have taken a point from a possible six against bottom eight rivals Rochdale and Notts County to sit just a point off the relegation zone.
Another wager that appeals to us in this game is Crawley to be leading at the interval at [3.6], given that they had scored two within eight minutes on Saturday and they've trailed only once at the break all season in the league.
