The in-play guide to Brentford v Sheff Wed
With no Premier League action this weekend, we turn our attention to the best in-play betting opportunities presented by the bottom versus top League One clash between Brentford and Sheffield Wednesday at Griffin Park.
The hosts have drawn one and lost three of their opening four games, while the visitors have drawn one and won three, yet odds of [2.32] are currently available on the table-toppers triumphing.
Brentford's only real hope is to score the first goal, and if they succeed in doing that then you should probably start betting on the Owls suffering their first league loss of the season as they're not exactly comeback kings.
Since coming from behind to beat Plymouth in the Championship in January, Alan Irvine's side have gone behind in 11 games and they haven't recovered to claim three points in any of those, eventually falling to defeat on eight occasions. By contrast, they've been victorious in each of the five matches that they've opened the scoring in.
Another market to keep an eye on in-play is both teams to score. Right now it's a [1.82] prospect but if there's a cagey opening then that price could climb past evens. Brentford have had four home games so far and in each both clubs have got on the score sheet.
