Hartlepool set for more MK Dons misery
The prospect of watching two teams stuck in the League One mid-table may not instantly appeal to the neutral, but there is more than enough intrigue as MK Dons face Hartlepool.
Hartlepool have had a rather interesting start to their season - after starting with two draws, they recorded a good win against Yeovil Town, before getting completely outclassed 5-0 by newly-relegated Sheffield Wednesday.
The Monkey Hangers look set to be without striker James Brown for this clash, although he hasn't bagged a goal in the league yet this term. Of greater concern for boss Mick Wadsworth will be the away form of his side. In their last 18 away games, Hartlepool have only managed to record two wins.
MK Dons also ended a run of five home games without a win with a 2-1 victory against Swindon Town last week, and boss Karl Robinson looks set to name the same team that started that game for the visit of Hartlepool.
Everything seems set for a close game - however, we fancy the Dons to grab a win against a side that only avoided relegation to League Two last term because of goal difference. MK Dons beat Hartlepool 5-0 at Victoria Park last term but it should be a lot closer in this clash.
We like the look of the home win at [1.77]. However, they have only kept three clean sheets in their last 11 home games so Hartlepool will fancy their chances of finding the net. Pocket yourself an extra couple of quid by backing over 2.5 goals at [2.1].
