Brighton's winning streak will end tonight

Several domestic fixtures are still taking place during the international break and there are five League One games and two League Two encounters taking place this evening. Here's what we're backing in three of the most intriguing clashes...

Dagenham and Redbridge v Brighton
League One survival would be a fine achievement for former non-league side the Daggers, and they are on course to achieve it due to their tendency to finish the season strongly. Charlton and Sheffield Wednesday have been frustrated at Victoria Road in recent weeks and despite three straight narrow 1-0 away triumphs, we're boldly betting that leaders Brighton join that list at a reasonable lay price of [2.2]. With a ten-point lead, they can afford a blip, and Dagenham are unbeaten in six matches.

Rochdale v Charlton
It's been a good League One campaign all round for the teams promoted last term, and another of those, Bournemouth, teetering, Rochdale have a slim chance of overtaking them for a play-off place. They have won three successive games without conceding and while Charlton have halted their slide with creditable draws over top-six clubs Southampton and Bournemouth, they remain winless in ten, so the home side are worth considering at [2.18], alongside the [3.0] on another Dale clean sheet.

Rotherham v Shrewsbury
Every now and then, football throws up the kind of stories that can't be written, such as Ian Thomas-Moore scoring a hat-trick for Rotherham in a 6-0 win at Lincoln just days after his father Ronnie had been sacked by the Millers. It was a dream start for caretaker boss Andy Liddell, vindicating his bold call to bench Adam Le Fondre, arguably League Two's most famous player. A victory for the hosts over erratic promotion rivals Shrewsbury will return them to the play-offs, and they appeal at [2.26].
