Brighton will pick off the Cherries

A clash between first and third in any league is always going to be well worth watching, but when it's a derby match, it becomes even more enticing.

Since their defeat against Sheffield Wednesday in August, Brighton have gone a magnificent seven league games without tasting defeat and lead League One by two points from second placed Peterborough.

Meanwhile, third placed Bournemouth's good run was ended last week by Southampton, who recorded a comfortable 2-0 win at St Mary's.

Everything is set for this to be a cracking game, and with Gus Poyet determined to keep up the passing game that has served the Seagulls so well this season, we can see the home side picking up three points.

The Seagulls haven't lost at home this season, and have won their last four games, while the Cherries have won just one of their five League One games away from Dean Court this term.

Brighton will also be buoyed by the news that Bournemouth look set to be without defender Ryan Garry (illness) and striker Jayden Stockley (injury) for the game. Brighton have almost a full complement of players, so backing them to win at [1.88] looks to be well worth a few quid.

Three of Brighton's last five home games have seen three or more goals scored, while three of Bournemouth's last five away games have seen three or more goals scored. So if you fancy something a bit more adventurous, you could do worse than backing over 2.5 goals to be scored at [2.0].
