Day 80: We're backing Deportivo to beat Hercules at [2.38]
It's another landmark day for our Bet of the Day and to mark the occasion we're going for a lengthier price than usual, backing Deportivo to come good for us at odds of over evens for the second time this season at [2.38] to get the better of an Hercules side one point above them in La Liga.
The slow starters have won three on the spin in La Coruna, scoring eight in the process and though their six-match unbeaten run was ended by Racing Santander last weekend in a slender 1-0 defeat, they should fancy their chances against opponents who have struggled away since their incredible victory at the Camp Nou in September.
Hercules have hit form at home to build a comfortable gap between themselves and the relegation zone but their record in the road is hugely disappointing -unsurprisingly given that they only triumphed three times in 21 attempts on their travels during their promotion campaign.
Since stunning the champions, Hercules have picked up just two points from a possible 15 away from home and have scored only one goal - against troubled Almeria - while they have leaked three goals in four of their last five outside of Alicante.
They were hammered 4-0 on their last trip to the Estadio Riazor - admittedly back in 1996 - and we see them falling to another, perhaps less spectacular, loss this evening.
