Punters predict Barcelona vs Man Utd final

Barcelona and Manchester United are the favourites to progress through to this year's Champions League Final for a rematch of the 2008-09 showdown in Rome that saw the Catalan club triumph.

Both teams are odds-on to progress through their respective semi-final clashes against Real Madrid and Schalke and, consequently, odds of [2.0] are offered on the two sides, who are almost certain to be crowned this season's La Liga and Premier League winners, colliding at Wembley on May 28.

Real Madrid are considered the more likely of the outsiders to cause an upset in the final four during what is set to be an enthralling run of four Clasicos against Barcelona in the space of 18 days, as two more of the grudge matches occur in La Liga and the Copa del Rey Final prior to the semi-finals.

Jose Mourinho masterminded the downfall of his current employers' fiercest rivals at the same stage of last year's competition as Inter Milan boss, which is why nobody is willing to complete write off the nine-time winners on their first appearance this late in the tournament since 2002-03.

A Real Madrid versus Manchester United encounter at Wembley is rated a [3.9] possibility, whereas it is a hefty [5.7] that the underdog victory occurs in the other tie, resulting in a Schalke versus Barcelona decider.

It's been notable that there has been a story to the last few Champions League Finals though, and the grandest plot to the 2010-11 showpiece would undeniably be a reunion between Real Madrid and one of their all-time legends Raul in the biggest match of the season. That's a [10.0] prospect.
